Understanding The Manufacturing Process In Vending

Vending business is a great opportunity to become your own boss. You can break free from the monotony of your regular job and achieve your dream of being financially independent. For a successful vending business, you will have to purchase equipment from a reliable vendor.

However, it is not easy to find the right vending machines without gathering information about the different kinds of components, products, market conditions, etc. In this article, you will find information about the various aspects of the vending machine manufacturing process.

A Planet Antares soda vending machine is manufactured on several automated, simultaneously running assembly lines. Galvanized steel is used to create the cabinet. The raw steel passes through automated presses at the beginning of assembly line to make the sheet rolls flat and cut it out. Two or more pieces of steel are used to make the cabinets. After that, the sheets will have to be punched and notched. This process results in creation of:

• Holes in the cabinets for fasteners and bolts
• Slits for vents
• Openings for electrical cords

To accommodate the fitting of components, the corners and edges of the steel sheets will be fixed on to the cabinet of the Planet Antares vending machine. Sheets of steel will pass through heavy duty air and hydraulic presses automatically. Bends can be created in the metal to crimp the edges by using the hydraulic presses. The seams can be secured with the help of resistance or spot welding. The final step is to give powder finishing to the cabinet and install the tank.

While the cabinet is being prepared, the tank will also be formed using a similar process by another line of staff. To fit the tank into the cabinet, mechanisms are punched into the sheets and the corners are notched. The necessary bending is done by presses and this is followed by welding together of these pieces to form a unit.

An eight stage pre treatment is undertaken before applying the powder coating. The surface of the cabinet is cleaned with an alkaline bath and then rinsed before getting a zinc phosphate coating. Then, the rinsing part is repeated. After some time, a chromic acid is applied and the cabinet is rinsed again in deionized water. Next, the units will be placed in a drying oven to be followed by powder finish coating.

This will be followed by combining for the units and cabinets for undertaking foaming and applying polyurethane foam insulation inside the vending machine. After this, the tank will be fitted inside the cabinet and pre-heated till it takes form. After completion of this stage, the refrigeration units are installed in the bottom of the cabinet.

The vending machine customers can only gain access to the products through the door of the machine. so, this is an important component of the machine. The basic door shell is made and finished in the same way as described above for cabinets and tanks. However, there is one additional punching needed to accommodate the controls on the doors. Door assembly takes place in a single area instead of an assembly line because the correct door should fit into the correct cabinet. There must be minimal possible errors during this process for effective vending machine operations.

Once the machine has been manufactured, it will be ready for quality checking and testing. If approved, it will be available in the market for vending operators to buy and use to cater to diverse customers.
